Position Overview
The Head Coach is a leadership role, responsible for managing and mentoring a team of coaches and assistant coaches. The Head Coach will set the tone for excellence in coaching and member experience, driving the success of proof3's customer experience on and off the floor. This role encompasses coaching, leadership, program design, assessment management, habit coaching oversight, education, and class scheduling to ensure a hospitable and results-driven fitness experience for all members. The role also greatly encompasses building local community connections, a network of colleagues, a strong referral network, and a fast paced client acquisition pipeline from proof3 members and local community connections.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching and Leadership
Lead high-energy, engaging classes, showcasing advanced knowledge of proof3’s programming while adapting workouts to suit all fitness levels.
Manage the quality of class experiences by observing and providing feedback to coaches, implementing training sessions to elevate coaching standards.
Serve as the primary contact for coaching-related inquiries, mentoring and guiding coaches and assistant coaches to achieve professional excellence.
Build a uniquely connective environment with members and our local community
Program Design Support
Collaborate with the program design at proof3 corporate to contribute to innovative, effective training cycles aligned with proof3’s fitness philosophy.
Evaluate program efficacy using data and member feedback, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Assist in developing specialized programs and events like member challenges and workshops tailored to the gym's demographic.
Connect the group program design with the individual lifestyle programs of the proof3 gym’s coaches.
Assessment Management
Oversee and conduct proof3 assessments, ensuring a thorough and member-focused experience.
Train coaches on conducting assessments and interpreting data to maintain consistency and quality across the facility.
Analyze assessment data to identify trends and member needs, supporting personal training opportunities and overall strategy for member success.
Give ongoing feedback of how to improve the assessment quality and efficiency to proof3’s corporate team.
Habit Coaching Oversight
Lead the proof3 habit coaching program, equipping coaches with the tools and knowledge to support members’ lifestyle, nutrition, and behavior change goals.
Conduct regular check-ins with coaches to review habit coaching practices, offering guidance and support.
Personally manage a roster of members, demonstrating best practices in habit coaching.
Education and Development
Lead ongoing education sessions for coaches, covering advanced coaching techniques, habit coaching, and assessment interpretation.
Organize and run educational events for members, enhancing their experience and knowledge of strength training, nutrition, and lifestyle optimization.
Stay current with the latest fitness and wellness research, incorporating new findings into coaching practices.
Class Scheduling
Manage the class schedule, balancing member demand and coach availability to optimize the gym's offerings.
Coordinate with the General Manager for schedule adjustments for special events, holidays, and operational changes.
Monitor class attendance and engagement, using data to make informed decisions about schedule adjustments and new class offerings.
Quality Control
Conduct regular audits of group classes and personal coaching sessions, providing feedback to ensure adherence to proof3's standards.
Implement a member feedback system to continuously monitor and improve the coaching experience.
Lead by example on the gym floor, consistently embodying proof3's coaching principles and hospitality-driven member interaction.
Qualifications
Passion for Fitness and Health: A deep commitment to helping others improve their health and wellness and live better, longer lives.
Connected to the proof3 Approach: Highly connected to the proof3 model and implementing it in your own fitness routine.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of fitness coaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or head coach role, including group classes, personal coaching, and program development.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive, self-starter mentality with a drive to seize opportunities and adapt quickly in a growing and evolving business environment.
Passion for Health and Fitness: A deep commitment to fitness and wellness, with an understanding of Proof3's approach and philosophy.

Technologically Proficient: Comfortable with using and implementing technology platforms for gym management, member engagement, and operational efficiency.

Certification: Although we value qualifications from reputable institutions, we are more concerned with your acumen as a coach and the proof of that acumen through your experience and the impact you've had in changing people's lives.
CPR/AED Certified: Current certification required.
